Now is the time to dive into the PADI Open Water Diver course, the most popular dive program in the world! This is your ticket to a lifetime of adventure and fun. The course meets twice per week for three weeks and includes classroom work, pool sessions, and ocean dives.

Aquan's class sizes are limited to 6 students per class. In addition to the small instructor to student ratio, Aquan's students spend more time in the pool to develop the necessary skills and foundation to become a comfortable and safe SCUBA diver.

Minimum age is 12.  We will consider children as young as 10, however,  children 10-12 will depend on a meeting with the parents, child, and instructor and will generally require private or a small group class. The goal for the meeting is to assess the child's physical and maturity level for safety and the ability to grasp andcomprehend the information they will need to have fun diving.

Before the class begins, you will need to purchase the current PADI Open Water Student Kit, available at Aquan. Before your first pool session you will need personal gear, which includes mask, snorkel, fins, boots, gloves, and a compass. Rental of diving equipment for the class is included with the instruction fee.

The Aquan Open Water Scuba Class is available in a three week (twice a week) format, consisting of classroom, pool sessions, and ocean dives. The ocean dives consist of four scuba dives and one snorkeling dive.
