Kids Summer Camps
Menlo Swim and Sport would like thank everyone who has registered so far for Camp Menlo, the response has been great! We look forward to seeing your children and grandchildren this summer. If you have not yet registered, there are spaces still available. We recommend that you register as soon as possible as sessions are filling up.

Kids Summer Swim Team
The Menlo Mavericks swim team will meet from June 16 – August 21, 2008. There will be five practices during the weekday, Monday through Friday from 9:30 – 10:30am. There will also be three evening practices on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:30 – 6:30pm.
The Menlo Mavericks Summer Team is our family-based summer swim team that exposes kids to friendly competition and the camaraderie of a team. The Mavericks swim team offers a fun and safe learning environment for children and teens who wish to develop their swimming and racing skills. >more

Go Green
Menlo Swim and Sport urges you to go green and participate in our Pedal to the Pool promotion. Menlo Swim and Sport has teamed up Clif Bar to encourage our swimmers to leave your cars at home and ride your bikes to Burgess Pool. After you swim, just stop by the front desk and show your bike helmet to the front desk attendant and receive a tasty Clif product to refuel your body for your ride home.

Dome Delay
Due to many unforeseen issues, Menlo Swim and Sport has decided to temporarily halt and delay the construction of the dome. Since springtime is just around the corner, we have decided to push back the debut of the dome until the fall of 2008. The planned regular schedule for the dome will be from Halloween to Easter.

Community Open House
Menlo Swim and Sport will be having a community open house on Saturday, April 26th, 2008 starting at 1:00pm. Find out about all our 2008 programs and spend a FREE day at the pool. We're opening the pool for the day so that the community can meet our instructors and coaches, see lesson and class demonstrations, and sign up for programs on site. Booths with program information start at 11:00am and demonstrations begin at 1:00pm. Open Swim, Lap Swimming and the Baby Pool will be free for the day, ending at 6:00pm.
Bring a picnic lunch or buy Edna's famous cookies at the cookie booth. Snacks and drinks will also be for sale at the pro shop. Get your questions answered, find out about summer schedules, and experience the great pool facilities at Burgess Park.

Swim School Session in Progress
Menlo Swim School Spring I Session started on January 28 and will run through April 05, 2008. Spaces are still available for Group, Semi-Private and Private swimming lessons during the Spring 1 Session. You may call the swim school at (650) 330-2232 to inquire about lessons and to register.
Menlo Swim and Sport's Spring Session II will start on April 07 and run through June 14, 2008. Mark your calenders for registration dates, priority registration begins March 03 and open registration will start on March 17. >more

Menlo Mavericks and Junior Mavericks
The Menlo Mavericks and The Junior Mavericks are a non-traditional, non-competitive swim team that aims to create a swimming community that is extremely passionate about being in and around the water. Space is still available for the Spring 1 Session which started on January 28 and will run through April 03, 2008. There are four one hour practices offered per week, Monday through Thursday, from 5:30pm – 6:30pm. >more

Kids Triathlon Team
We create a fun environment in which children and young teens can learn and train. Space is still available for the Winter 2008 Session which started on January 07 and will run through March 27, 2008.
The Kids Triathlon Program is made up of two teams based on abilities:
Jr Kids Tri Team meets at Burgess Pool on Mondays and Wednesdays 3:45 to 5:00.
Kids Tri Team meets at Burgess Pool on Tuesdays and at Bayfront Park on Thursdays at 3:45 to 5:00. >more

MENLO MASTERS
Menlo Swim and Sport / Team Sheeper would like to thank everyone who participate in this years Menlo Master's Can-Do Challenge for February's National Heart Month. Your time and hard work produced thousands of cans of food and hundreds of dollars for the Menlo Park Senior Center. There were three swimmers who swam more than 300,000 yards, twenty-seven swimmers who swam more than 100,000 yards and one hundred and twenty swimmers who swam 50,000 or more yards. Way to go!
TRIATHLON
Our Spring multisport camp and cycling tour takes us the furthest north Team Sheeper has ventured, the cool redwood groves and dramatic coastline of Mendocino County. Come join! Dates are April 4 - 6. >more
2008 Tri Challenge Series: Adventure Challenge 2.0! Adventure Challenge is an urbanized treasure hunt and adventure on the Peninsula. The course has been designed for beginners, but will be challenging for all participants with many fun and
exciting surprises! Two person teams kayak, bike, trek, and navigate together over a course full
of fun and excitement and will take between 3-4 hours to complete. Details will be posted soon to www.teamsheeper.com and www.racingwithgiants.com
