Air Dome
Menlo Swim and Sport is proud to announce the construction of the Burgess Pool Air Dome. The Air Dome is scheduled to be constructed in February. The Air Dome will be placed over the Instructional pool only. During the construction the Instructional pool will be closed, but the Performance pool will stay open for public use. The Air Dome will be beneficial to the community for many reasons. The Air Dome will conserve energy which in turn helps our environment. The Air Dome will also offer protection from the cold winter weather for the children who attend swimming lessons and attend recreational swimming and for the senior community who swim laps and do water aerobics. In the future the Air Dome will be in placed over the Instructional pool from Halloween to Easter, to offer shelter and warmth for the cold winter months.

MENLO MASTERS
Menlo Masters and lap swimmers are invited and encouraged to participate in Menlo Master's Can-Do Challenge in honor of February being National Heart Month. Each day in the month of February, we ask that you keep track of the total yardage that you swim for the day and then write the amount on the charts that are kept in the front lobby. At the end of the month, we ask that you donate a can of food for each set benchmark amount that you accomplish. Menlo Swim and Sport / Team Sheeper will then match your amount in a financial donation. The cans are collected in the front lobby and then donated to a local non-profit charity. We thank everyone who participated last year, your efforts produced thousands of can and hundreds of dollars for the Menlo Park Senior Center.
Congratulations to our 2007 Swimmers of the Year, Sue McGlennon and John Goldman. >more
