Pre-Summer Hours Start May 8: Baby Pool Opens!
With the warmer weather comes extended hours at the pool. The Baby Pool is open Mon-Fri 10am to noon and 2pm to 4pm. On Sat and Sun, the Baby Pool is open 10am-6pm, and Laps and Open Swim hours extend to 6pm. >more

Camp Menlo Registration Heats Up
Summer day camps are starting to fill up. May is prime month for registration, so make sure to get into the weeks that you want by signing up today. We have new swim instruction levels this year so that campers needing extra swim help can come have a blast at camp. Check out our Emerging Swimmer and Developing Swimmer levels for instruction that's just right! Camps run weekly, morning and afternoon, Jun 14 to Aug 20. >more

Lifeguard Certification
Hey kids! Are you looking for a high paying job for the summer? Menlo Swim and Sport will be offering an American Red Cross Lifeguarding course this early this summer. This is the perfect opportunity to get trained to become a lifeguard so that you will be certified and ready for summer employment. The course will be held over two weeks after school ends, starting June 14. Register now as there are only 10 spots available for this course. >more

Turbulence and Tranquility: June 9, 8:00am
Aqua Fit instructor Cherie Cordellos and guest instructor Ginnie Plato will present a special Aqua Fit class for all ages and abilities. Turbulence and Tranquility is an eclectic mix and medley of movement designed to maximize the mood and involvement of the participant. Powerful strength sections melt and flow into mellow and mindful soft movements. The ever changing waves and patterns ensure a complete mind body focus and create a magical blend. This 50 minute class is held in the shallow to transitional water depth and shoes are recommended. If you have never tried water fitness, this is the class for you!

Cherie Cordellos has been teaching and developing water fitness classes since 1995 in the Bay Area and at Menlo Swim and Sport since 2007 . She is certified with Exercise Science Alliance and the Hydrofit Academy. >more

Summer Nights for Summer Fun
Starting in June look for Screen on The Green, family fun nights and special evening swims. Stay tuned for details about the summer schedule where we stay open late, bring in pizza and show a movie on the grass. We are also planning Teen Nights, where we pump up the music and host a fun swim night just for teens. It is going to be a great summer!!

Mark your Calendar
The Menlo Swim School will be closed on Monday, May 31, 2010 for Memorial Day. There will be no swimming lessons, Mavericks practice or Junior Triathlon practice.
The pool will be open for Lap Swimming, Masters practice, Aqua Fit, and extended Open Swimming.
