Summer Skin Care

Don’t get burned! Come check out the new line of sun protection clothing from O'Neill. Menlo Swim and Sport now carries O'Neill long sleeved and short sleeved tops for Adults and Children. The fabric is made with an ultraviolet protection of 50+.

If you choose to go 'au naturale' and not wear a sunshirt, to avoid sunburns while swimming, wear sunscreen! Apply waterproof sunscreen 20-30 minutes prior to entering the pool. Make sure to reapply your waterproof sunscreen every 90 minutes after being in the water. Menlo Swim and Sport now carries a wide array of products from Ocean Potion, including spray-on sunscreens, sunscreen sticks, anti-aging face moisturizer, zinc oxide face cream and Aloe Vera lotion.

Try to swim early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid the greatest potential of over sun exposure between 11am to 4pm. To protect your scalp from the sun, wear a swim cap.
