SUMMER CAMP SPECIAL EDITION NEWS !!
We're so excited about the special plans for camps, we thought you'd want to know. This year, we have new activities and more instruction for kids who have little swim experience.
- June 14: First week of Camp Menlo Summer Aquatics camp!
- Fridays: Goofy Swim Meets with a DJ spinning tunes.
- July 5: No change for Fourth of July. Camp#5 starts Mon 7/5.
- Aug 20: Last day of Camp Menlo for 2010.

EMERGING SWIMMERS
We are thrilled to be able to bring in our Menlo Swim School instructors this year. Our staff is crossing over into camps to help our youngest and least experienced swimmers have a blast at Camp Menlo.
New for 2010, kids who are comfortable in the water, but not proficient swimmers are welcomed to camp. We can't take campers who have fear of the water — they should be able to put their head under, kick, float, and be relaxed submerged — but swimming skills aren't required.
Emerging Swimmers get extra supervision in the water and more basic instruction that aligns with our Swim School levels 2 and 3. Camper to instructor ratio in the water is 4:1. >more about Swim School levels

DEVELOPING SWIMMERS
A Developing Swimmer is a camper who can swim 25 yards unassisted and has mastered breathing. The instruction will be in all four strokes emphasizing more advanced skills, and is a great complement to Mavericks. Camper to instructor ratio is 8:1.
Just for Developing Swimmers is our Guard Start program. Our head lifeguard, Jere Faison, comes in to teach campers about water safety and junior lifeguard techniques. It's a ton of fun and a really special class!

MORNING VERSUS AFTERNOON?
Come to either or both. You get a price discount for both — $425 for five full-of-fun days, 8:45am to 6:00pm. If you need to pick up your camper before 6pm in the afternoon you can do so. Feel free to come early and enjoy swimming some laps yourself until your camper is ready to go!

100 BUCKS OFF SUMMER MAVERICKS
As a Camp Menlo registrant, you can save $100 when you register for the summer session of Menlo Mavericks. This is a special offer to encourage campers to experience the joy and excitement of being part of a summer league team. Go Mavs! >more about Summer Mavericks
