The husband and wife team of Karlyn Pipes-Nielsen and Eric Nielson hail from the Big Island of Hawaii. When not hosting a clinic in their hometown of Kona, they travel the globe competing and hosting swim clinics for people of all ages and abilities.
The one day Freestyle stroke clinic will be on Friday, August 22, 2008 from 5-8pm.
The one day Butterfly, Back and Breast stroke clinic will be on Sunday, August 24, 2008 from 5-8pm.
The clinics include:
- 90-120 minutes of water time for stroke progression
- Out of water form work & classroom instruction
- Nutrition, recovery suggestions & training ideas
- Go Swim! Video demonstration by Karlyn
- Open forum Q and A with Karlyn and Eric
- Aquatic Edge custom swim cap
** There is a maximum of 24 people for the clinic on a first registered basis.
Please bring 2 towels, warm clothing and parka for the clinic.
$85 per clinic

Since March 2007, Karlyn has set 25 Masters World records and 33 National records for the 45-49 age group; she has been inducted into the International Masters Swimming Hall of Fame & is the 2004 World Masters Swimmer of the Year.
Eric is an All-American masters swimmer, ran a 2:56 Boston marathon in 2007 and competed at the Ironman Triathlon World Championships in Kona this October. Eric has over 16 years of experience coaching swimmers and triathletes, is a personal trainer and a Level 4 ASCA swim coach.
