We splash summertime magic into every camper's memory! The camp is best suited for children entering kindergarten through those entering 7th grade.
Each camper must be able to swim 25 yards across the pool without assistance. If you are unsure of your child's swimming ability, please call Menlo Swim School at 650-330-2232 for a swim evaluation or to sign up for swimming lessons.

** Mavericks is our summer swim team. Camp Menlo participants have the option of joining the team at anytime during the summer. Campers are on the Mavericks team are invited to swim the hour-long practice with the Mavericks in place of the hour-long session with Camp Menlo. Mavericks is a 10 week program and is an additional charge of $250, however you get $100 off the Mavericks price by participating in a Camp Menlo session.

Camp Menlo Lounge
This is the area set up for campers to recover from physical activity, replenish fluids and fuels, rejuvenate energy stores, and get out of the sun. This is also the place to relax with and get to know fellow campers. Camp Menlo Lounge offers ping-pong, foosball, checkers, board games, card games, crafts, art projects, snacks, drinks, and comfortable seating.
Improve skills
Camp Menlo completely immerses campers in a diversity of aquatics, with focused attention that leads to improvement in skills and confidence and, in the end, an overall appreciation of water sports.
A program for your age and skill level
Camp Menlo is designed to develop aquatic skills at every level. The director, coaches, and counselors are experienced in creating age-appropriate experiences, and campers are grouped into skill levels to ensure progression through the week.

The camp is hosted by Menlo Swim and Sport and is located at the beautiful Burgess Pool swim complex that boasts 3 pools. One pool is a fast, 11 lane competitive pool that is heated to 81 degrees in the summer. The second pool is a 6 lane rim-flow warm instructional pool that is heated to 87 degrees, and has a large shallow water area. The third pool is a baby pool for ages 6 and under.

Campers have options for registering single days or the entire the week. The cost is $50 from 2pm - 4pm or $100 from 2pm - 6pm. The charge is the same for the entire week or for selected days through the week.

Staffing
The camp is directed by a year-round professional management staff that has their eye on quality, safety, enjoyment, efficiency and value. The head coach is an experienced aquatics instructor/coach with an emphasis on childhood development. The head coach will be assisted by counselors with experience in promoting safe and fun activities and events.
Supervision and Security
The well being of each camper is the primary concern. The camp director, head coach and counselors will keep in constant supervision of the campers with a ratio of 8 campers per one staff member.

Save $100 on the Mavericks summer swim team by registering for a week of Camp Menlo. This is a special offer to encourage all Camp Menlo participants to experience the joy and excitement of being part of a summer league swim team. Menlo Mavericks is a 10 week program from June 16 to August 21.

To ensure the highest quality camp experience, we are limiting each weekly session to 32 campers.

$250 per week

We accept registrations right up to the start of camp where openings exist.
Refund/Credit Policy: Registered participants are entitled to a full refund minus a $50 processing fee with a camp cancellation 30 days before the start of camp. Registered participants are entitled to a full refund minus a $100 fee with a camp cancellation 14 days before the start of camp. Refunds will not be given to registered participants with a cancellation 14 days or less before the start of camp. You may opt for a 100% credit in lieu of a refund which is good for 2008 and 2009 and is transferable to another family member for another Camp Menlo session.

After Camp Care is provided by The City of Menlo Park Community Services. Registrants may attend the entire week or just a handful of days, however they will need to register for an entire week.

After Camp Care Protocol
CSD staff will arrive at the Burgess pool lobby by 1:45 p.m. The Menlo Swim staff will sign out the children registered for the extended care and the CSD staff will sign them in. Anyone not already signed up must have their parents come to the Burgess Recreation Center to register the child before starting the program. The CSD staff will escort the children by 2:15 p.m. to their new location (i.e. Burgess field, Gymnastic Center, Gym, Burgess Recreation, etc.) Parents can also sign up for the 4-6 p.m. extended care for an additional $50 per week which will be a combination of Menlo Madness campers and Menlo Swim campers.
