Lap Swim

Lap Swim is offered Monday - Friday, 7:30 - 11:30am and 3:30 - 7:30 p.m. Register for a Belle Haven monthly Resident or Non-Resident Lap Swimming pass.

Spring Special: Join us in April and May for FREE Masters workouts Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:30 a.m.! Menlo Masters brings structured swim workouts to Belle Haven Pool on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. Each coached workout consists of warmup, a main set (or two) and warm down. Onsite registration required, please arrive 15 minutes before your first workout with the group to complete registration. > more

AquaFit Water Exercise

Spring Special: Join us in April and May for FREE AquaFit classes Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 p.m.! You don't have to be a swimmer to enjoy our low-impact, calorie-burning workouts. All classes begin with warm-up, move into a cardio/conditioning segment, and conclude with cool-down and relaxation. Water shoes recommended. Menlo Swim and Sport welcomes Brenda Villa, the most decorated female water polo player ever, as the new Head of Aquatics Outreach. Brenda, who won Gold at the 2012 London Olympics with the Team USA women’s water polo squad, is charged with launching a new Menlo Mavericks girls’ water polo program at Belle Haven Pool, which will include 12&U and 14&U beginning and intermediate teams. The pools and grounds at Belle Haven are complete and full-service. The pools were remodeled in 2011 with refinished pool surface as well as refurbished decking.

Pools

• Pool Size: 25 yards x 25 meters, with 6 lanes in the deep end
  
• Pool Depth: the shallow end is 1 to 3.5 feet, the deep end is 10 feet (no diving boards this year!)
  
• Pool Temperature: between 79 and 85 degrees
  
• Baby Pool: Small shallow pool for splashing and play

Directions

From Willow Road north of Hwy 101 and south of Bayfront Expressway, turn west on Ivy Drive. Follow Ivy past the library and Belle Haven Elementary School to Market Place. Bear right on Market, and turn right on Del Norte Ave. Belle Haven is at the end of Del Norte where it intersects with Terminal Ave.

Locker Rooms and Deck

The facility includes men's and women's locker rooms and showers as you enter the pool grounds. Outdoors, there are benches and wide open spaces on the pool deck.

Front Desk and Shop

When you arrive at the pool, stop at the desk. Give the staff-member your name to check-in for lessons, or pay for Open Swim and receive a wristband. At the front desk you may also register for classes and pick up information. There are a few items on sale such as light refreshment, swim diapers, and diaper covers.

Conduct and Safety

Please help ensure a great experience for everyone. Before you send your young swimmers to the pool or you visit with your family, be aware that we maintain high standards for conduct with emphasis on safety. We encourage behavior that is respectful and mature, and our guards will enforce safety rules both on deck and in the pool. Read our pool rules (PDF) and updated Guest Code of Conduct (PDF). If a lifeguard asks you to do something, please comply quickly for everyone's safety.

Surrounding Area

The pool facility is located next to the Onetta Harris Community Center and the Menlo Park Senior Center, in a residential neighborhood with ample parking. You will find other recreational activities near the pool, including an indoor gym and outdoor track at the new Kelly Park.
