Three pools are designed to support a full range of activities:
- Instructional Pool: 25 yards x 50 feet, 3.5-6 feet deep, supports 6 lanes, kept at 85 degrees F.
- Performance Pool: 25 meters x 25 yards, 7 feet deep, supports 11 lanes, kept at 80 degrees F.
- Baby Pool: Splashing water fountain and falls, shallow depths for wading, kept at 85 degrees F.
Find places to sit and spread out your towel on our benches, on deck, or on the grass. Food allowed on the grassy areas only. Bring your own lock for our outside lockers. You are welcome to bring pool toys, flotation devices, fins, kickboards, and paddles.
There are full men's and women's locker rooms that include indoor and outdoor showers. There are also two family changing areas. If you wish to use a locker, please bring your own lock and do not leave belongings overnight. Age policy: Children age 5 and under are allowed in the opposite-gender locker rooms when accompanied by an adult.
There is a small shop in the front office area where you can buy swimsuits, towels, goggles, swim diapers, and various water-sports items. You can also pick up Menlo Swim and Sport apparel and gear. Hours are the same as the Menlo Swim and Sport office hours: Monday through Thursday from 6:00am - 8:00 pm, Friday from 6:00am - 7:00pm and Saturday & Sunday from 10:00am-6:00pm.
The front desk is the first place you'll go when you arrive at the pool. Stop at the desk and give the staff-member your name and the activity you're checking in for. At the front desk you may also register for classes and pick up information about programs and events.
Please help ensure a great experience for everyone. Before you send your young swimmers to the pool for an afternoon, be aware that we wish to maintain high standards for conduct with emphasis on safety. We encourage behavior that is respectful and mature, and our guards will enforce safety rules both on deck and in the pool. Read our pool rules (PDF).
There are two parking lots on either side of the Burgess gym and pool facility. Both parking lots are shared with the rest of Burgess Park. To minimize impact on the surrounding neighborhood please park in the lots and not on the street. Try riding your bike to the pool!
The pool facility is located in Burgess Park, in a residential neighborhood next to the Menlo Park city offices and library. Burgess Park includes ball fields, tennis courts, a skate park, gym and picnic areas, all within walking distance of the CalTrain station and central business district of Menlo Park.
